Accuracy load for 30-06

I am going to try some Hornady Interbonds next year for Deer hunting.  I have some H-4350 and thought I might start there looking for a accurate load @ 100yd.--200yd.  Any  feedback would be appreciated before I start to put up test blocks of powder amounts and C.O.L.  Winter in Minnesota is a little long without  a few projects.  I am looking for accuracy so a maximum load to shoot long range like 300yds. is not the goal.   If there is another powder that has produced a special load please include.

Rather doubt if you could do much better then 4350.  I have had good results with H414 and H4831 loaded near maximum with Hornady 165 grain BTSP bullets.

Try different bullet lengths in your rifle. This makes a big difference if you're after smallest groups at, say, 100 yards. Fortunately there are plenty of options. Heavier plastic-tipped bullets are longer than their softpoint counterparts. There are bullets suitable for deer from about 130 grains to 220 grains. I'd bet the shorter bullets shoot better in most guns. Try a flat based bullet unless you're shooting at long distance and need the higher BC.

Of course, anything that will group into 2 inches at 100 yards will do for this application. I tend not to worry about maximum accuracy in big game loads. I really want maximum killing power (i.e., optimal blend of expansion and penetration.)

Not the Bullet or Powder you mentioned, but an Accurate option.
This is my first attempt at loading for the 30-06.
I think I will stick with this load, the 165 SBT fly the same.

Buckfever, I'm using the 165 gr. Interbond in my .30-06 and getting great accuracy with 58 grs. of H4350 along with Fed210m's in Lapua brass. I'm seating them .020" off the lands.

I shot a nice deer this past Saturday with this combo and it worked fine.

As always, start low and work up.

With 150 grain Hornady SPBT's I always had good luck with a max load of IMR4064. Always shot sub MOA in my Remington with bullet .010 to .015 off of the lands.

You should be good to go using that powder and bullet combo. The seating depth will be more of a critical thing in your rifle. You should hit something pretty decent between 56 and 58grs, but you should still work up for your rifle. This load range should give you somewhere around 2800fps using either the 150gr or the 165gr bullets, in a standard 22 - 24" barrel. 

I found a load which shoots very well using the IMR-4350 and the same load has shot in several different rifles very well. Two of them will produce groups like Hylander posted any time I am up to it. If they aren't grouping it's not the gun and load. I also found that 3.250" for an OAL was good for a general starting point and it is what I settled on with my load due to the accuracy I got. It might vary some as your using the Hornady and I used the Nosler, but thats just part of the game.

Some good advise from all.I've had great loads with many powders over the years.But I always come back to IMR 4350,and IMR 4064.

 I've quickly come to realize that if it's 30 caliber, is larger than 7.62x39 and doesn't have a belt then there is no powder out there that holds a candle to VARGET
