Problems with a Summit Bushmaster X4
« on: November 05, 2007, 01:38:42 AM »
I have a Bushmaster x4 that I have had for almost 2 years now and have loved it until a couple of weeks ago. I went on a hunting trip to WV and on the second day of my trip it the base platform started to pop every time I would shift my weight. I could not really tell where the noise was coming from until I returned home, I then removed the cables and stood on the platform in my building. The noise seems to come from the place where the u brace is welded to the platform right where it meets the tree. The welds are all good and I cannot see where anything has shifted or moved. Has anyone else had this kind of experience with a summit stand? I guess I will call Summit to see if they will repair or replace it, the only two things that bothers me is it is the middle of deer season and the hassle and expense of sending it back.

I contacted Summit Monday morning and Wed a new platform arrived with new rapid climb stirrups and straps. Best of all there was no charge and they even sent a return shipping label, no charge whatsoever for anything. Summit will always have my buisness!!!
