Jim, I tested the 700gr .500 bullets using the KDM data, got fairly good 100yd accuracy with lil'gun at 1430fps out of the .500 Handi, neither is something I need to shoot, just fun to play with. Up until the 700gr .500 bullets, 555gr ~1800fps was the biggest I've shot in the 45-120.

I just had some back and forth emails with Richard at Ranger Rick's, he provided data for the 45-70 using Unique for the 720gr bullets, load work was done in a BC, velocities are sub 1000fps, with no keyholes!! ;D So much for the calculators and recommended twist rates!! ::) If they'll stabilize in the 45-70 at less than 1000fps, they'll do fine in the 45-120 at 1500fps. ;)
