Thanks fellas.  Backstrap, while we do have llarge, corn fed bodied deer here, this guy is fairly typical rack wise of the majority taken in my area. Some a lot bigger, some not as. By far, 1 1/2 year olds are harvested more frequently than all others combined.  I've certainly taken bigger bodied and better rack deer in years past.  My 3 1/2 year old buck last year field dressed 205 lbs. This one went 160 . The only trophy thing about him will be the grilled loin steaks. Good luck to all.

I was going to say the rack may not look that big but the body certainly does. Most of us Texas hunters would love to get a 160 pounder in our sights and the heck with the rack. Nice buck!
