Have been using it since shortly after Remington brought it out but always in Remington rifles mostly the Model 7 but also in the LSS Mtn. Rifle. It's as perfect a deer/antelope cartridge as exists in my opinion. I began using Remington factory loads with the 140 Core-Loct bullet but have come to prefer the Hornady Light Magnum load using the original 139 BTSP bullet. Gives more velocity than you can safely reload to and superb accuracy in all the rifles I've used it in.

I've played around some with reloading for it but honestly can't match the Hornady light mag for speed or accuracy so use reloads only for practice and always hunt with the factory ammo.

I can't help it, I have to chime in on most 7mm-08 threads.  I own 2 model 7's.  They are becoming one of my favorite of all time for whitetails and hogs.  The 139 grain bullet and under 200 yard shots are just awesome game of this size.  One shot kills always get me turned on.  If I had to sell all of my rifles and keep one, it would be the 7mm-08.  Better get you one and try it!
