Hi Nelson:  I shoot the 1:48 twist and a 1:66 drop-in barrel fromT/C in my Renegade stock.  I shoot both in compitition and leagues. The best load for 25-50 yds has been 45gr Goex 2f using a .530 rb and .022 ticking with patch lube of your choice. For 100yd target shooting with the 1:48 I use 80 gr Goex 2f and with the1:66 95 gr Goex 2f but I've started using a Ox-yoke Wonder wad between the powder and the patched ball. Thisallows more shots before needing a wet patch/dry patch cleaning the fouling . I've  started shooting the 200yd shilouttes with the 1:66 barrel and using the Ox-yoke Wad I've found that the 95 gr load has more percision than heavier loads out to 175yds, just adjust elevations-25 clicks for 175yds with a T/C factory sight. For the 200 yd bears i use 110 gr 2f and the Wads with 31 clicks elevation. These loads of 80,95,110 gr of Goex 2f will harvest any white tail  you may see within the 100-125 yd range.  Good Luck  :D

thanks for all the great info! I can't wait to get out there and try them all. Unfortunately, I'm on a job in the People's Republic of England right now - they confiscated my leatherman of all things. But a guy in a pink dress with a fake beard can make it past 50 police, and on stage with the entire Royal Family!!

I'm not sure I understand the "double patch" when you only have one patch between powder and ball. Can you please explain?

As explained my Sam Fadala in his book, you put one patch against the powder,1 lubed patch around the ball. The idea=allows use of a larger ball
[e.g. .535] with a thinner patch without burn through of that thinner patch.
The tighter fit seems to work in some rifles. You will need to use a short starter for this load.I'm using non-synthetic pillow ticking[about "5 stripes" wide x the length of my end of my thumb digit]. with Gorilla Grease or Bore Butter;I will try using Ballistol as a patch lube this summer.
