Who Makes Good Carbide Inside/Outside Case Deburr Tools?
« on: November 13, 2007, 07:26:12 AM »
I have the RCBS Prep Center with the 5 heads.  What I am looking for is carbide deburr heads for these.  The ones that I got with the kit feel like they are dull.  I have been using my VLD inside case deburr because it does a lot better job.  I should specify that I would like to get a VLD deburr head.

If you buy the Lyman hand held VLD inside debur tool, just unscrew it from the handle and it will screw right on to the post on the RCBS prep center. I agree the ones that come with it stink, I can usually get about 1000-1500 pieces across it before it dulls. The Lyman has been going for well over 25K and no real signs of any significant wear. RCBS claims 10K on theirs but if that is the case they are having to bear down with a lot of weight to get there.

For about $24 you can buy the Lyman set of de-burr and case prep tools that fit in a rechargeable drill. The inside tool is definitely a VLD type.
