Reminton Mod 7

I own a Remington Mod 7 308 SS. I would like to remove the hinged floor plate and replace it with a detachable magazine. Does anyone know of a company that makes a detach mag or would a Remington Mountain Rifle mag work. Any information would be appreciated.

I don't know of anyone who does and while the Mtn. Rifle one might it would not be an easy swap as the M7 uses a different shorter action than even the M700 short action. So you'd have to do some work to convert it to work. Not saying it's not do able as really most anything is if you have enough time, knowledge, skill or money to hire someone who has those attributes. But it ain't gonna be a quick and easy job.

Just My Opinion - Get a Mtn. Rifle DM. You can get another Rifle for what the cost of The Modification would be.
