My local tournament season kicked off last night. 27 boats entered, 3.18lb smallmouth won $427.00.
I boated 5 smallmouth in 3 hours, but couldn't get to that 15" mark. (That's how long they have to be in my area to be legal) smallest was 14", largest was 14 3/4".
There seemed to be a fish kill on the river too recently; we saw 14 smallmouth's, 2 channelcats, a one walleye floating - that's way too many dead fish to be seen in one evening! The walleye was decent too - probably a 2lb+ fish.
