Camo lam t-hole. may be cutting them down
« on: November 19, 2007, 12:01:34 AM »
Anyone ever shorten a laminate stock? Ive got t-hole stocks on my 30-06 ultra comp & 20g USH. I m really starting to like them. It took a bit to get used to. But they seem a bit long, especialy when hunting. Im thinking about taking 1/2 inch or so off one & seeing how it feels. What you guys think?  Jay
I dont care what gun Im using as long as Im hunting

I think that most H&R stocks are a bit long for me (5'10") With just a light insulated jacket i find that the TDC Jr. buttstock is about right for me.  It is longer than a youth stock but shorter than the regular stocks.   Make sure you use a good sharp saw blade to make that cut and mask the lines with masking tape to eliminate splinter and to keep the edges clean.
