Remington model 7 compared to mod. 700
« on: November 19, 2007, 03:44:59 AM »
I am thinking about getting a walk around coyote and calling gun. I have model 700 for big game. No experience on model 7. I was looking on another site and they showed a next years version of a Remington model 7 Predator with a 22" fluted barrel and coated with Mossy Oak Brush on stock and barrel. Comes with a R3 recoil pad. Was wondering if anybody has experience with the model 7 and how they like them? Was thinking on getting a Rem.223.

Have one in a 7-08. Very nimble, light rifle.  You'll like it.  Don't lay it down and walk off a ways.  ;D

Thanks . I thought it would be a neat gun for calling and still hunting coyotes. I didn't want to be packing a 10Ib. gun around. If I needed to shoot longer distance I will use the 700xcr in 270wsm.
