".24 Colt"!! Must be a new wildcat, man I just can't keep up with this stuff. Would that be a .45 Colt necked to 6mm? ;D
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

My other gun is a Ruger SBH Hunter in .24 Colt.

I've never heard of the .24 Colt.  Sounds like a mighty small boolit to be in a big old SBH!

That still amazes me…I don’t care who you are or how much I care about you, I would never let you kill my son.  I can’t even begin to understand how much He loves us.

Only if the cripple was carring a .24 Colt!!! No self respecting cripple would carry anything less than a .28 Colt!!!
 ;D

I'm glad to hear the 357 mag can kill a deer. I just picked up a T/C in 357 mag to let the wife use for deer hunting this fall. It will be loaded with 158gr XTPs and 296 powder. I must admit it's a fine shooting gun. Maybe I'll carry it myself and let her take the 338WM barrel.

That can not be! A deer....with a .357....with 125 JHP.....at 51 yards....with complete penetration? How can that be...your supposed to use a 180+ gr hard cast (or better yet a .500 S&W with a 400 gr bullet - hard cast of course) or you get a nasty surface wound with no penetration...ok, I'm making fun of some others around here. Great shooting and well done.

Please post a link to the thread your using as knowledge about a .357 not being enough for deer, that you've seen other post?
