Muzzle Brake

Anyone have any experience with having a muzzle brake put on? I have a 300 Wby Mag I would like to tame a bit. I am not looking for the cheapest, I want a good job with good reduction in recoil.

I had a montana muzzle brake installed on my howa 338 mag. One of the cleanest jobs i've seen in a long time. Also saw one done on a stainless bbl that was very nice.

If I were you, I would save myself the aggrivation & brake cleaning, and get it MagnA-Ported for $135.

There is no "add on" with MagnA-Port, since the sytem cuts trapezedial slots directly in the muzzle end of your barrel with their EDM (electromagnetic discharge machine).

If it's a Weatherby rifle, any service center smith can do it for you and it comes with a thread protector in case you want to keep your hearing.
