6.5 TCU
« on: June 20, 2003, 05:43:31 PM »
I just picked up a 6.5 TCU 10 inch barrel at a decent price , Anybody have a source for dies at a decent price ?
Any favored powders or bullets to try ?
I have a reloading manual to work from , I also know that your pet load may not be the one for my barrel but they may be a hint to a  good starting point.
This should be another cartridge that is pretty easy to load for .

I also recently purchased a TCU barrel. I picked up my dies thru Graf and Son's at a very resonable price (but I do get a dealer discount). Both Graf and Midway have Hornady dies at resonable prices. I have yet to load anything with Hornady dies, but if they load as good as they look, everything should be fine.

VV N133 powder and 120 grain bullets.
A buddy is shooting 142 bullets in his, but he is making them himself.  Nothing store bought heavier than about 130 has stabilized.

Good luck,

Steve   :D
