Guys, I sure would like to see more pictures of your single-shots. I have just recently got a digital camera. Going to take some pictures of my guns, hopefully today. Not sure how to post them here, but I do know how to e-mail them(now). Every time I get something new/used then I see some one elses rig and want that. Are you like that also? Guess that's what keeps me buying barrels and wood/rubber. :-D

470NitroExpress;  What is the chronoed velocity of the 470 Nito out of your Encore?
What kind of group can you shoot for 5 shots offhand at 50 yards with your 470?

Thanks

MePlat,

1850 fps w/ Barnes 500 gr XLC's. Barrel is actually 13 1/2" with 1 1/2" of muzzle brake.

Never tried to shoot 5 shots offhand. The gun is really too heavy to shoot accurately off hand. I have tried a couple of times but couldn't hold a decent group. I even shot it offhand with one hand. Could not hold the gun steady at all and it was hard to control the twisting force of the recoil. It is much better to shoot it from the kneeling, it gives you more support for the hand on the forearm where the weight is.

I have shot a couple of 3/4" three shot groups @ 100yds from the bench with the Weaver 2.5-8x scope.

You guys are definitely SICK!!! Jeff B. How can limit yourself to just a few fine specimens? And BUCKNBASS, in the People's RepublicK of NJ no less? They are definitely nice collections!!! I wish I had digital images of mine. I only started out with 1 Contender and 1 Encore, but somehow, in the safe, they mated and multiplied!!!! Now I'm over-run and running out of shelving. Wouldn't it be a nice offer for Jeff B. to put a SE PA TC choot together at New Holland or somewhere in the area. The PGC will allow for an organised shoot on a PGC gun range--and we can book it so it will be private. I know it can be done at the Broad Mountain PGC range, but I think we'd have to have serious comittments, range officer, etc. That range is a 300-yarder! Some fun, Eh?
The first shot is the best shot, it may be your only shot!  Do it with a single-shot.

Ken.

First you need to upload your picture from your computer to a web hosting service. I use www.hunt101.com . It is free amd relatively easy.
Once you have uploded your pictures you need to find it's url address so you can paste it in the message. On hunt101 below your image you will see the picture url (called the image link). Or you can right click on the image and select properties, you will then see the url. Highlight and copy the url.
Go to your message that you want to enter the picture in and type in the tag . (it doesen't have to be in bold, I just did that to better show the tags.

If you picture url was this:www.hunt101.com/img/123456.jpg, it should look like this:

This is the only firearm I have left.  This is of course a T/C Contender chambered in 7/30 Waters.  The rack it is sitting in was taken by a deer rifle.  The next one will be with this!

Ok sorry, I should've just posted this on one larger thing rather then 3 small ones.  What you need to do is cut out and and make it     I put a space in between the first [img] and http so it wouldn't work on my post this time.  If you want me to take it off the first post I have I will as it is your pic.  Ya dig?     Regards
