G2 youth stock?
«

Hey guys....new here, been reading for a while, and now have a question. I'm looking for a G2 youth stock. It appears that TC doesn't make one for the G2, but still has them for the old frame. Anyone give me some possibilities?
Thanks
Ken

Cut the stock to the length you need it.. that is if it is walnut. If it's synthetic you can still cut it down but most likely you will need a slip on recoil pad like the Sims. My suggestion is get a walnut stock and get a pad that fits or slip on and custom fit the stock. Also make sure that you keep your cut right and don't mess it up. And Sims makes a grind to fit recoil pad if you can't find anything else that works. G2 stocks cannot be interchanged with contender stocks. And you might be able to find a aftermarket stock for it.

Ken,
When I was looking for a youth stock for my old model contender, I gave up and bought the synthetic stock and had my smith cut it down. He had to build up the inside to take the pad screws again for a new recoil pad. It came out great. It's cut down to just in front of the rear swivel stud (pretty short). The stock was cheap too.
Hope that helps some.

You could have just put on a slip on pad.

There was so little surface area left, the smallest slip on pad would have been far too large to snug up.

Really wow. How long is the whole rifle? It is over 26inches long... right?

Oh yes, no problems there. It's for my daughter's set up, which is 2 bbls, a 22 lr, and a 6.8 spc, both are 23" long bbls.
