As for the trigger, the best way I can describe how it feels is when it actually firing it. Dry firing (with an empty magazine in) is fair...not great, BUT... when you actually shoot the SR9 it is pretty damn smooth! For some reason this pistol just feels good to me compared to others. It's not blocky in shape. Light weight, slim and comfortable. Mags are a little hard to load the last rounds manually, but mine is getting easier. I think this is of no issue. The safety? Just fine for me. A little harder going into safe position, easy going to fire. Thats a no brainer. No biggie. Safety is in ergonomic place where it should be. Mag release button, yep they are a little hard to activate (only with a 17 rounds in the mag, less than that no problem at all. Would rather have it a little hard, then to inadvertintly loose a mag somewhere and there you are with your pants down. Right? I find the loaded chamber indicator a plus, especially for my wife. There is NO DOUBT when it loaded! If some one does't like it, whaaaa...I say safety is paramount. Also for those that might moan about it, you can also deactivate the feature where the gun won't fire without the mag. Thats your choice. Target pistol? Nope. Defensive pistol? HELL YEAH!
I am amazed at the engineering that went into this pistol. I really mean it. I have zero gripes with it. You can't tell me theres another gun on the market that is that slim and light, holds 18 rounds, feels kinda like a 1911 for a price that won't rip your pants off!
