Got a question for you all. My dad works for the Cabelas near his house. They had some Stevens single shot bolts that they had as a promo deal and needed to get rid of so he picked me up one. I assume that this is a 200 with out a magazine if so what all is out there in the way of aftermarket. All the stocks I have seen have mag wells. Thanks for any and all help

Savage Shooters Supply is a good place to get every thing Savage/Stevens related. I have bought recoil lugs, bolt handles and trigger guards from them. They also sell stocks, barrles, triggers and much more. Have you had the stock off of the Stevens? It very well may have a magazine hole in it too. Does the receiver have a solid bottom, or is there a tray that sets on top of the follower? I have put single shot trays into mine that set on top of the follower. I wish they would have been a single shots to start with. If the receiver has a solid bottom then a blind hole in the stock would be fine. A standard Stevens 200 has a blind magazine.

You mentioned you have put single shot trays on your rifles. I own a 12 BVSS repeater in 223 Rem and would like to put one of those single shot trays on it. I load one shot at a time anyway, and when shooting long bullets, the regular magazine follower hinders more than helps. Would you please recommend an on-line source for single shot trays? I checked Sharp Shooters Supply but couldn't find it there.

I think they are cheaper through Midway than ordering direct??? About $12.50

I really like mine. I have put them into three bolt guns. If you have a blind magazine you take the stock off, turn the action upside down and drop the tray in, then put the stock, spring/follower back on the action. It is even easier if you have a magazine where the bottom drops out. Open the magazine well drop the tray in and close the magazine back up. If you ever want to go back (I do not) then just remove the tray and you now have a repeater.

I havent had a chance to look at the gun yet it is in Mo and I am out here in Ca. I will pick it up next time I get a chance to go home on leave. I was just trying to get some info thanks for the links gents.
