I picked up a new chevy back in 94. Exactly what I needed. Std cab, 6 1/2 ft bed, 2wd, 4spd w/od manual, 6 cyl vortech, rubber floor mats, bench seats and power nothing. The only "gizmos" I have on it is cruise and a cd player. I also added some rails on the bed for tiedowns and an overhead shelf and console in the cab. For what I use it for (which is a daily driver and hunting and occasionally hauling home stuff from the lumber yard), it has been the perfect truck. It has run like a champ and given me no problems except for the throwout bearing at about 35K miles. And with the plain jane interior, it is easy to clean up.
Anyway, back to the point. I'm getting to the stage where I need to start considering some updating and rebuilding on it. I think I'm going to eventually add a topper of some sort, and maybe add bucket seats. I'm considering just rebuilding the engine when it finally dies (it should be a while yet), but I'm also considering swapping it out for a 350 with a carb and killing my gas mileage and picking up some more power. Just to have something to play with, I guess. Any suggestions on add-ons for it? I usually forget to consider something and it is always good to hear other guys ideas and suggestions. Like I said, it isn't anything fancy, just a good ol' truck. Thanks.

Amen to having side access on your topper. When I ordered mine a few years ago I was so excited to get it that I completely forgot to ask for that option.
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?
