Got My Ultra Back
« on: November 29, 2007, 10:19:38 PM »
Got my Ultra .223 back from H&R, they were able to repair barrel so I could keep my ejectors.  Put a Night Force 6X15X50 scope on it.  Took it to the range today to sight it in.  Fired seven shots total.  Last three could be covered with a nickle at 200 yards, all in the x ring.  Shooting remanufactored ammo using Nosler Ballistic tips.  Stuff I bought at Sportsman's Warehouse.  Leaving tomorrow morning, (actually this morning)about four AM.  Looking for Wolves out behind the house.  We've got two packs and a single out there.  My son will go with me, he will be carrying a 12ga with #4 Buckshot.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Excellent shooting!
There are guns that cost several times more than what you gave for your Handi that won't touch it in the accuracy department. Gotta love these guns!

GOOD SHOOTING!

Sourdough have fun and get some wolves, and don't forget to post about it when you get back in front of the computer so we can all vicariously enjoy it also. I stopped at the local town conservation (fish & game) office this morning when I stopped at the dump on the way to work. I was interested in a section of town for coyote hunting that I always thought was closed but have heard some rumors about lately. I will be doing some coyote hunting fairly close to home after Jan 1st now  ;D....<><....;D

P.S. - Marv, it's great to see you back and posting buddy....

Sourdough,  Sounds like your shooting Ultramax ammo?

It shoots good out of my HB 223, but not as good as yours.  Good luck with the wolves.

I'm going out for coyotes tomorrow with my son.
