Your Three Wishes to the PGC Genie?

What would be your top three wishes to a PGC Genie?  I relize some wishes would have to go through the legslature butif it is hunting related wish away.

Mine are:
1:  Semi-auto rifles and rimfires to be legal for atleast small game and varmints/predators
2:  Legalized Sunday Hunting
3:  One Doe tag per man good Statewide with the option of extra tags in Special regs areas that would only be good on private land.


Wish away, but please refrain from bashing someone elses ideas.  Any bashing will be promptly removed

I'll use up my three on deer hunting.

1. Everything with less than 6 points is legal. Let all the better racked bucks carry their genes to the next years breeding cycle. A few years of this should greatly improve the buck situation.
2. Separate doe season and only in specific areas rather than state-wide.
3. End the archery season in October rather than through the peak of the rut.

1. reopen fall turkey hunting in wmu 5B
2. extended bear season in wmu 2G
3. extend flintlock season through the end of january

Mine are all deer season related

1. Open the early muzzleloader season to both buck and doe and move to 2 weeks later to be in time with the rut. I know this defeats the purpose of the early muzzleloader season as it was originally designed (to remove does from the herd before the rut), but I think we've already removed enough doe. We should be doing things to stabilize the population now, not further reduce it. Allowing hunters to harvest buck will save a few doe, and help generate more money by selling $11 muzzleloader licenses to people that generally don't hunt doe.

2. Shorten the concurrent deer season for doe to be only the second week. You can still hunt buck the week after Thanksgiving, but doe will not be legal until the second Monday of the current format.

3. extend the late flintlock season (just as rbergum95 said).

2. Opening day moved to Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. ( Gives everyone 3 full weekends to hunt. )
3. One doe tag per licensee good state wide.

1. Take the early (in-line) muzzleloader out of the archery season and move it into the rifle season.
2. Stop all doe hunting, except in the suburban areas around Phila. and PBurg. And Keep it seperate from buck season.
3. When the deer numbers come back up to where they should be, give the buck/doe OPTION back to the archery hunters.

1) Crossbows legal for everyone in archery season
2)Sunday Hunting for everything
3)Longer Flintlock season-thru january would be good

4)Cut back on some antlerless deer permits in some WMU`s
