It's been two years for some and a year for others.  All are good hunters.  They get some attention prior to the season.  A tightening of the security lock and chain where needed to prevent girdling the tree; a loosening and repositioning too where tree overgrowth into the chain would occur; a footrest of new timber when one rots and the metal leg sinks through; canvas when ripped or too loose for my taste.  Corrosion, repainting, nuts and bolts, metal tubing fatigue in general is accepted without question if a good sturdy shaking doesn't loosen things.

Is there more?

I do pretty much like you,I have mostly ladder stands and one chain on type.I always lossen the ratchet straps alittle in eary spring when tree starts to get buds on for leaves, then about mid to late sept I go tighten straps and check bolts and do any touchup painting that it needs.
