Ballistic Reticles?

Anybody using one of these?
How closely do they match your load?

Which one do you prefer?
They all look pretty similar to me.

If you go with a Baltic radical it will work with only bullets with 1 BC and at one velocity. They work well if you follow all the rules, but are not for everyone. I have a friend that has one on a .22-284 and loves it. I have another friend that has one on a .22-250 and he is not sold on it at all. From what I understand it depends on which plane the radical is as to whether or not the yardage mark will be the same at different powder with a variable scope. I know that the mil dots in my 8.5 to 25 power scope are only true mil dots at 25 power. Personally I think I`m going to keep dialing in the elevation and using mil dots for wind drift.

I would be using it for deer and the occasional coyote so + - 2" would be good enough.
I don't think you would ever get one to match well enough for prairie dogs. Unless it was custom made.

Gene, the friend with the one on the 250 has a factory set scope so he loads the factory ammo dup. loads the scope was set for. The problem he has is that he is used to dialing in the elevation and he says he grabs the wrong elevation make alot of the time. I think if he were to practice with it more he would become more proficient, but he carries to many different guns and none of the others have ballistic radicals.

I kind of like the looks of the Nikon.
It has 2moa circles instead of cross hairs.
I figure if you could get it to hit inside the circles it would be fine for deer and maybe coyote.

I like them a lot. And yes great on coyotes. I don't hunt deer anymore.
