Top Punches
« on: December 08, 2007, 03:42:19 AM »
Is there a listing anywhere that shows what top punch goes with each of the Lee bullets? I have a few Lee moulds and I really like them a lot. As long as you don't abuse them (and you shouldn't abuse any mould) they make nice bullets.

Since Lee makes a push thru sizer, most of the top punch fits are a try and see deal. I have several makes of molds on hand and often have a fit finding just the right TP for a mold. I don't mind getting a ring around the nose IF the bullet is seated straight.

You can take a nose punch that is pretty close and fill it with expoxy.  Coat the bullet with the release agent and run the bullet nose into the punch while the expoxy hasn't dried yet.  You'll end up with a poor man's custom nose punch.

Never thought of that. What a great idea. Another example of why this is the best firearms website on the internet.

Thanks,
