I just aquired a Pardner Pump 12ga with Syn. stocks.  My nephew needed money and I NEEDED a Pardner Pump, so we just traded.  My cash for his Pardner.  It's an early model that wasn't drilled and tapped'd, but I don't mind.  I can have that done locally and I plan on ordering a Protector barrel for it.  Then a peep sight or ghost ring and we're all set.  HD/Camp/Deer gun, all rolled into 1.  I would like to swap out the stocks for wood, but that will have to wait awhile since my "gun money" is now depleted to just what I need for the Protector barrel. :'(  Unless, of course, one of you would like to swap my synthetics for your woods! ;D

Yeppers, I KNOW....I saw that 25-06 in the Classifieds, too.  I think if I did that TODAY the CFO would probably beat me with it. ;D  But I was sure thinkin'

I should be thinkin' Sidekick, though.  If I had one of those I would still have one more day of deer hunting left.

I have only shot this one a couple times...I like the feel and balance of it.  The price was right and since my nephew bought it NEW I know the history of it.  The fit and finish are as good as any 870 that I've handled.  I am really lookin' forward to trickin' it out for my HD/Camp gun.  I just wasn't satisfied only having a single shot for HD.  I may do some deer hunting with it next year, but my  Pardner's are still my "Go To" guns for huntin' and walkin' the woods.

I think so, too.  I would be usin' the pellets and not loose powder, I think.  Just cause its easier.  But, I think it would be a lot of fun and it would add a couple weeks to my season.  That's ALWAYS a good thing.  Just have to wait a while, "gun money" is pretty much depleted.  I will have to start a new "stash" after Christmas.LOL

Same here buddy, congrats. I still haven't had a chance to check these out in person as no one carries them around here, but from what I have heard most people seem happy with theirs. And I believe if my memory serves me correctly you can swap stocks for Rem 870 stocks and they should fit. There are lots of stocks available for the 870. Does yours take different chokes?
Let us know how she shoots for ya.

Yes, it takes choke tubes.  It came with a Mod. choke and he purchased a Imp. choke so he could shoot slugs.  I have shot it, when he first got it a couple years ago...it shoots great.
I was wonderin' if the 870 stocks would fit it.  That would give me more options.  H&R wants a big chunk of change for new ones.  Maybe I'll be able to swap for some later on.
