Howdy , Just joined and wanted to say thanks to every one for all the info on the handi-rifle .I have a 243 NEF and it shoots very well!!
I had a double -lung transplant 17 months ago and have already been Elk hunting !! Yahoo I am well again and able to fish and hunt!!!! I no longer have to wear Oxygen and in fact live at a high elevation at Joseph ,Oregon. My latest love is that dang little handi  with a 6x 24 that shoots nice and tite. Coyotes and rats beware!  jamers

Wow I've heard of heart transplants but guess I didn't realize they did lung transplants. That might be what I really need but will struggle along with mine I guess. I do still need oxygen and can't do many of the things I once could. But then all the tests of me say my heart and lungs both are OK I just can't breath.

Welcome aboard.

Amen to that, thank God above all, something we all should do.

Welcome to GBO!! I am impressed to say the least that you can Elk hunt after a Lung transplant (I also did not know about that). I went on an Elk hunt in CO. years ago & thought I was ready. I did 20rep squats & all kinds of exotic stuff to prepare, it still took 2 days to get used to 9,500 ft. ele. ;D

I hope your good fortune continues but I can't offer much advise concerning your Handi addition except to say, hang on to your wallet, more to come!!! ;D

jamers ...

Welcome to GBO. We have a pretty good time here and I, for one, have learned a lot about reloading, firearm/hunting/shooting products, Handi rifles, other firearms, and more because I sign on almost every day and "read." A lot of good people hang out here with lots of experience and opinions.

Now as far as your health is concerned ... I love learning of others with successful recoveries such as yours. Like Graybeard (Bill), I had no idea they did lung transplants let alone a double transplant. Now I have a question for you ... you just recovered from what apparently was a very serious health condition yet you jump right into another fire getting "sick" with the  Handi Rifle sickness. What the heck are you thinking?????

Seriously though, there are many different forums on this site that are outstanding. Seek out what thrills you and enjoy!

Welcome aboard, jamers!! Congrats, it's good to hear you had such a wonderful recovery after the major transplant surgery, that's certainly not something we hear about very often!! ;) Reminds me of my surgery 10yrs ago on Oct 15th, was packing Elk out 9 weeks later, nothing beats the feel of being back in the mountains hunting, does it. ;D

Be sure to check out the FAQs and Help sticky if you haven't already, lots of good stuff in there to speed your Handi learning curve along. ;D
