You may have noticed my name is no longer shown as the moderator for this forum.  Yesterday evening I asked Graybeard to remove my name.  That will make some of you happy, I'm sure.  Frankly, its a relief for me, too.

Best to all of you and rest assured I'm not going anywhere - which may not make some of you so happy.   ;D

We may have had our differences  ::) but it is nearly always a shame when someone feels that have to step down. Thank you for your efforts on this board . ;)

CH, you have provided some good info on Northfork bullets & many other things as well. I especially obtained good info on your 45-70
experiences & will in the future I am sure. I hope time will allow you to Moderate again.

I am going to take a stab at this gentlemen. Mr Graybeard has given me the greenlight to be the moderator here. I will be as fair & unbiased as possibly can. Let's all (including myself) strive to keep it fair, honest informative & civil.

Merry Christmas!!

nomosendero -

Glad to see you stepping in and I'm sure you will do a fine job.

It just got to be too much for me with the other stuff going on in my life right now.  Nearly lost my wife the week before Thanksgiving due to a flare up of GvHD (Graft vs Host Disease, caused by her bone marrow/stem cell transplant) and the company I spent the last 8 years working for filed for bankruptcy the Monday after Thanksgiving (read "newly unemployed").

My wife is doing fine now (leukemia free for a year this month and GvHD under control) and I have an excellent job offer on the table.  Its stressful being unemployed but I'm intentionally taking the rest of December off to spend with my wife and, when the holidays roll around and the girls return, the rest of my family.  Today we went Christmas shopping for the girls and bought tile for the bathroom remodels.  Yesterday I finally got around to fixing a busted light fixture in the kitchen.  I think I could get used to this...

CH, I enjoyed all your previous input and I hope things smooth out for you soon. The thing about the bumps in life is they make you appreciate it more.
