Does this Hornady load make a much of a difference in the 85 or 100 grain loading? I would like to get a little better long range ballistics for predators and a little more energy for medium size whitetails at the 300 yard range.
I have a Model 700 that I like to shoot and don't want to go to the 260 or 25-06 if I can justify staying with the 243. I hope the lite mags don't increase the recoil and report to levels equal to the 25-06.
What are your opinions?
thanks

The best long range factory loading you will find is the Federal Premium 85gr HPBT, at 3320 fps, sight in 2 1/2 high at 100 and you should be about 2 1/2 to 3 inches low at 300...
