Sea run Salmon and Steelhead
« on: June 23, 2003, 06:41:11 PM »
:D Hey there folks,

Anybody out there in the forum that fishes the west coast for the Columbia/Snake/Clearwater/Salmon River fish besides me?

Of late, I have been doing most of my fishing up river from the cities of Lewiston, Idaho/Clarkston, Washington. The Snake and Clearwater Rivers come together at that point and I have been spending my time on the Clearwater.

Now if you don't think it takes a good fish to get to me just take a look at your map. I fish a  B I G  days walk inland from the salt and still long for the days when the rivers weren't all plugged up with dams.

Fished this last season for Steelhead and just didn't seem able to get them on the bank. Fished the last day of the Clearwater Salmon season (Memorial Day) and lost two with one 17 1/2 pounder to bring home.  GREAT FUN!

Keep em coming!
