I grew up in Ohio and catfish were the main target on fishing trips with my dad. Went into the army and when I got out in 1970 I relocated to Colorado and I love it here, will never leave the Rockies. But I do miss the fishing back east and recently bought some catfish fillets and the wife said "can we catch some of these?" We catch all the trout we can eat but catfish is just so much better eating, not "fishy tasting" at all.
So now I'd like to find some catfish but don't want to drive to Kansas. I'm located near the Royal Gorge and it's not far down to the flatlands but there isn't much water there. I'm wondering if the Arkansas River, east of Pueblo might be worthwhile. Anybody know where to find catfish in south eastern Colorado?
