I've been preparing some documents, contracts, spread sheets, letters, etc. for a friend on my Vista suite using microsoft works word processor and various templates supplied with the computor. My friend's business is running XP and microsoft Office. Documents I prepare will not open correctly...likewise documents he sends me are read only and I can not work on them. I suppose I'm going to have to purchase Office, or he his going to have to purchase Works, which is cheaper.
Is there a way around this snafu...?
