I've not heard anything on it since I shipped it. I thought Kenny had said he would keep me up to date on how it was progressing but they didn't even let me know it arrived. I need to call him and ask I guess.

Graybeard, I talked to Ken about three weeks ago.  I was asking him if he was coming up hunting as he usually deer hunts about 10 miles from my house.  He said no as he was going to be out west hunting for a bit.  So that may have delayed things a little.  I have always been extremely pleased with my guns done by Ken.  Here are a few of them.  44 Man

A FA 83 in .44 mag done as a Stalker with Ken's polished rings and satin finish

This one is a Ruger Single Six .32 mag Stalker with a beautiful polish and blue job

A tri color SBH, again with an incredable polish and blue job

A Charter Bulldog .44.  Again, excellent work by Ken

And a Marlin in .35 rem that Ken salvaged from the junk yard.  Repaired, cut the 24" barrel to 18", installed an AO scout scope set up with detachables and an AO express peep and Williams fire sight front.  A truly nice, fast handling rifle, and of course it is ported.

Just got off the phone with Kenny. He said to tell ya'll it was aging like fine wine.  ;D

Translated that means he's not yet gotten to it as he has many other much older projects taking his time right now. He said that some time between Christmas and mid January he'll likely get around to tearing it down and taking a look at what's needed. He will give me a call at that time on it. We're operating on no fixed time table with this so it will be ready when it's ready.

He said he had been out in MT for a couple weeks and is just back from the Annual Handgun Hunt at White Oak as well. Like here it was hot and dry there and the deer just weren't moving. Like last year when I was there a few does were taken but no bucks. He did say a few had been seen but they weren't large enough to be shooters at White Oak.

By the end of January I should have an update for you on the project I expect.
