Doing a Rem. Mountain Rifle over for a Friend. It needs some Metal touch up. Been thinking of using Brownells Alumi Hyde II. I do not have access to Alum. Oxide blast it. Is there another way to take the blueing off and prep it for The Alumi Hyde?

I have had very mixed results with the AlumaHyde. Proiperly prepped it does OK. I much prefer powder coating. Much more durable too..
