Contender vs Encore Barrels

I found a barrel for sale but the owner does not know if it fits a Contender or an Encore. Without a known barrel for comparison, how can you tell which is which?

The contender has dovetail slots in the barrel to hold the inserts  where the forearm screws go in and the Encore has just screw holes.
This is one of the quickest ways to check

Measure it. Contenders are .810 in diameter and encore 1". At the breach end.
