Matchlock deer hunt

I`m new here but thought ya might like to see a story that was published of a doe i shot with my hand built matchlock.

Thanks Pickwick, went a lot smoother than i thought other than fighting the brush.
I want to build another lighter slimmer rife one of these days, thinking maybe converting a flintlock.

P/P: Can you supply detailed photos or illustrations of the weapon and its workings? I think it would be a blast to build one. ;D

The entire lock plate and action is my own design, the linkage is all on the outside and attached to the lock plate including the pan. The pan cover is auto opening. I`ve refionished the wood three times that why it`s different in some pics.
The barrel is a Green River, 54 cal.
