Help with BAR
« on: December 16, 2007, 06:21:06 AM »
1972 manufacture.......sat under my friends bed for the last ten years.......

Doing a detailed strip and clean.......

removed the action bars and support rails per the dis-assembly instructions in the owners manual.......

I made the mistake of pulling the bolt to the rear after removal and now the bolt won't come forward......

How do I release the bolt?

I'd really like to remove the bolt and trigger assembly......I've removed the stock but am having a hard time figuring out how the rear plate that the stock screws into and holding the bolt and trigger assembly in place, is removed.......

any help appreciated......

Edit.....got the bolt released......proceeding on......

The hammer has you caught .  Reach through the open mag hole and depress the hammer and you will be able to go the rest of the way yourself.
