Forend question?
« on: December 16, 2007, 10:23:00 AM »
I have an Ultra Rifle and I am thinking of getting a Huntsman barrel for it.  My question is can I get a laminated forend that fits the Huntsman barrel to match the rest of the gun?

Thanks

Hey,

This is where I got the one for my wife's Sidekick.

http://www.gunstocksinc.com/web%20pages/Plate%20Pic's/NEF%20stocks/Handi-rifle%20stocks.htm

It needs to be fitted with the old forearm hardware and still looking at how to do the checkering. I believe I will have to strip the rear and forearm stock of the Ultra to get it right. Here are some pictures of the unfinished forearm.

Good Luck!

Unfortunately they don't make them in Cin Lam, they do however make them in the camo lam. I have been wanting the cin lam with checkering for about 4 years now, but looks like I will have to the route froghunter went if I want that color. I don't know why NEF doesnt make both laminate forends for the Huntsman barrels anyways, I know I would pay extra for one. Some got the Camo Lam with checkering a few years ago, but the last I checked they only had them without checkering. Just call the nice lady at NEF and ask.
