youth superlite

Hello all,

So is the only thing that makes a youth super lite the super lite a thinner barrel?  as they grow can I add a normal stock and go for full sized barrels?  I know they are all SB2 receivers I just wanted to make sure I could trick it out once she gets the hang of it!!  maybe a fluted 204 barrel for yotes!!!  I plan on buying the youth super lite 223 and then having a 30/30 barrel added for now.  Is this a good way to go.

My daughter just got her .243 Superlight a couple of days ago. I kinda did my acquisitions backwards...I purchased a 45-70 barrel, bullets and brass from CowboyUp prior to getting the actual rifle for my little girl...just in case my daughter decides that she wants to lend me her superlight so I can put the 45-70 barrel on it and throw the Handi on my 4-wheeler............................................................................

.......................................................umm....uh...

.......................................................ummm....maybe I should just go out and get my own Handi...???

Have fun and get her out to the range. I've heard it said that those who take their kids hunting no longer have to go hunting for their kids...kind of a good thing in this day and age.

okay so I can't seem to find any super lites around yet not really in a big hurry but I found a adult 204 with a 22" bull  I was thinking that the extra weight would not matter as much for calling predators where you just walk to a stand and set the rifle on sticks then I could get the lighter 30/30 barrel that would be easier to carry hunting.  btw I have a 204 of my own so I would not have to buy a set of 223 dies.  what do you think?
