red dot shotgun scope
« on: December 19, 2007, 04:41:57 AM »
I had a cheap red dot on my turkey gun last year.  I really like the function of it, however, I noticed that if the sun was in the wrong location i couldn't see the dot even in the highest intensity.  That makes for a useless scope, so it is gone.  Is this normal of all the red dots on the market?  I would like to have one that works, and don't mind paying alittle more if I can get one that this in not a problem.  Any input appreciated.

I have had BSA , Tasco and now a Bushnell. All of the red dots seem to do that. At least all i have had do that.

I have a Bushnell 1" Red Dot mounted on the rib of my 870 like a Scout scope.  Haven't had any problem, possibly because of it's small diameter.  A friend had a problem with a cheap holographic sight in bright light, couldn't see the dot at all.
