Nikon Buckmaster Service Question
« on: December 19, 2007, 07:22:00 PM »
I have a dumb question about Nikon's customer service.  I have a 3-9X40 Buckmaster that is only about 4 months old.  I dropped my gun the other day and now when I turn the magnification ring it sounds grainy, like there is sand in it and I saw a little grease type material near it.  I know this is my fault, but does anyone have any experience dealing with Nikon on a issue like this?  The salesman I bought it from did not like dealing with Nikon and tried to push me to a Bushnell 3200 Elite.  Primarily due to the Bushnell lifetime warranty and customer service reputation.

The one time that I needed Nikon Customer Service, it was a very positive experience. They stand behind their lifetime warranty and the best part about it was that they had my scope back to me in just over two weeks.
