How many crow hunters out there? Do you use mouth calls or electronic calls ?
We use Tom Turpin and Crow Slayer mouth calls and Foxpro electronics with decoy setup.

I use a mouth call mostly but have used electronic. Always carry a crow call when grouse hunting and deer scouting with 12 gauge in hand. Take cover and blow on mouth call, some times they come in close and bang, bang, bang.............

My wife is an Indian and works on the Res at the casino here in NE Kansas. You don't want to talk about shooting a crow around them. Definitely a harbinger of bad luck. Messenger from the underworld. And while I ain't superstitious......

Funny, My wife is Ponca Indian; same story. A while back a buddy of mine was here and exploded a crow on the ground at about 325 yards with a 90 gr. HP in a .270 Rem. 700. You'd have thought he'd doomed the entire human race.....at least perhaps shot her great grandmother! Crow is a definite No No around here. Violators get tomahawked.
