unless this was an expensive scope, you are going to be far better off to write it up to experience.

if you push it, you might get him prosecuted for writing bad checks, but highly unlikely you will ever see your money again.

good luck

I'd contact the County District Attorney in his home county and see what their policy is on bad checks. Here in my home county you had BETTER NOT write a bad check. They will have you arrested with no qualms whatsoever and you will make it good you can bet on that. They do not play around on bad checks here in my area.

Contact the Post Master also. Since you paid with a postal money order, it is considered mail fraud.

I already contacted the County Attorney but he said because I had received the scope and returned it they would do nothing. The scope was a weaver Grand Slam that was advertised as NIB price was $300.. it came with ring marks and torn rear rubber eye piece. Because it took over 60 days to get the bad check ( return funds) Ebay would not do a thing. Bellamy will not answer emails and hangs up or won't answer phone. PO won't do anything either.

Ky is usually pretty good about busting people about bad checks. Get the law involved , its on your side.
