Is it possible to convert the 110GXP3 in 7mm Remington Magnum to accept a detachable magazine?

Just happen to see this and thought I'd clear this up for futur reference.
The short answer is "NO", not easily.
The recievers of the two Savage actions (clip fed and blind mag fed) are machined differently.
To modify a blind mag fed Savage to accept a clip, you would first have to return the rifle to Savage for machining to the bottom of the action. Then you would need to purchase a magazine and a new stock with the mag release in the side. Total cost, somewhere around $250. Savage will do the work and supply all the parts, but it's not cost effective.
A clip fed cannot be converted to blind mag feed.

Well, I have the OPPOSITE problem with my Remington BDL SS DM.  It's a detachable magazine, and I just got a Bell & Carlson stock.  Problem is that the B&C Stock won't fit the Remington DM, so I have to convert it which will cost about $125.
