Took the 45-120 BC out yesterday. Our range was closed so took the wife and dogs out in the woods for a little R&R(recoil and rumble). Snow about 15" deep so we four wheeled it up a logging road to a spot we often go. Nailed a target to a cotton wood tree(never nail anything to a pine in logging country) and ranged it 50 yds to the truck. Took a rest against the fender of the truck and let her rip. Lee 459-500-R3 over a case full to the base of the bullet(slight compression) of Jim Schokey's Gold. 5 rounds 11" high and a little to the left. Need to adjust front sight with brass punch and big hammer. All 5 in nice group under 2" I'm happy
Note to self: don't put thumb behind lock lever and don't creep up on stock as thumb when properly wrapped will make contact with lip. Can't wait to do more work with this rifle. Belches thunder and smoke, makes Heep big hole.
