Most of the time, it is a 3 inch Rossi in .38 Special (not listed in the poll) with a 200 gr. Super Police load.  If I carry big, it is a .45 ACP Llama or Astra, using 230 gr. FMJ.  Can you tell I believe in penetration?  For hunting, either a .44-40 Colt clone or a .41 Magnum Ruger Blackhawk with 4 5/8 barrel. The .44-40 has accounted for one deer, and the Ruger for two.

At the moment a S&W Model 60, 2" SS 5 shot 38 in a leather Bucheimer Clark Defender holster.

Have a Kel-Tec p-11 9mm w/ the hard chrome slide on order.  Probably will carry it IWB using the Kel-Tec belt clip.

When I carry, I carry a Taurus 441 .44 SPL. 3" W/adj sights in a Texas Ranger Ltd. left handed pancake.
200 gr. hollow points 15 gr. 2400. I'm really old school. Old holster even has basket weave.
I know there has been a lot of talk here about Taurus, but I've shot a ton of rounds through this one, and it's like a hose. It's a bit bigger than the M36 I used to carry, but it obviously has more stopping power, and penetration. Muzzle flash at night is impressive. If I don't hit the bad guy at least I'll set fire to him.

For the past year I have carried a North American Arms Guardian 380 in an inside the waist band holster. It disappears completely even when I am wearing shorts and a t-shirt which is what I wear 8 months of the year in SE Oklahoma. I picked up a S&W model 36 in 38 special at my FFL today. I hope it carries as easy and hidden as the NAA does. Charlie

.45 acp in a Springfield Armory XD-45 Compact. I carry in a CrossBreed Super Tuck IWB holster. Although I am considering selling it and getting a XD-40 Sub Compact.

My main carry piece is a STI "Rogue" 9mm, I'm kinda partial to the 1911 frame.  I slide that puppy in a contraption called the "Beltster" made by Bandera Leather Company.  It was made for my Kimber Tactical Ultra but the Rogue fits real nice.  It conceals very well anytime of the year, whether I'm wearing a coat or just a t-shirt.

I voted 9mm, but really need multi cals. Depends on the situation/dress. Summer would be Kel-Tech P3AT .380 in either front pocket or belt clip or PF-9 same way with occassional inside vest pocket. Cold weather is PF-9 or .357 Charter 2000 Bulldog snubbie in coat pocket. 9mm, .38+p, or .357 all with 124-135gr GD, HyraShoc, or Corebons. If on bike, PT-111 9mm or Tracker .357 in 4". Always carry, .22mag NAA mini and pocket clip knife.

Taurus P145 or Springfield xD in .45 ACP in the pants or fanny pack.  I also have a Colt Commander in stainless but I usually carry the Taurus.  The xD is always in the vehicle.  I was in the Army (Cav) and really liked having that darned old GI issue .45 on my chest (tanker holster) ready to go.  In the past I have carried a Kahr in .40 Cal. and thought that was and is a great carry weapon but for me it’s all .45 now.

Now I have heard a lot of people knock the Taurus P1XX series guns, but mine has never failed to feed, fire or malfunction in any way.  It’s no tack driver but at 20 feet or less I can put 2 heavy slugs in center mass really quick.

Not on the list is the Taurus Judge in .45 Colt/.410Ga.  I have a buddy that has one of these, but with the longer barrel.  He carries it on his farm for snakes and such but what a great weapon for car hijackers.  As they stick their face in your face demanding your car you can feed them #4 bird shot, point blank, end of hijacking.

Usually a Keltec PF9 in an IWB Kydex holster. It hides well even under a T-shirt, and because it's easy to carry, I usually take it with me.

Just switched never thought I would be saying this but I shot and feel in love with a Glock 36 in 45acp
Best carry and one of the most accurate sub 45's I have ever shot. 300 rounds with no malfunctions will be carrying in a bladetech IWB

I carry a Bersa Model 83 / 380 auto.  This a model a little earlier than the Thunderer.  Never has jammed and is always on target.  I keep it stoked with HP's and carry in a high rise belt holster.

Springfield Armory Ultra Compact mil-spec 45 acp. Loaded with Speer Gold Dot 230 grain hollow points. Cold weather holster is a Galco Combat Master OWB. Warm weather is a Milt Sparks Summer Special II IWB. The carry loaded mag is a stainless Chip McCormick 7 round and a factory 6 shot mag in a Don Hume mag pouch. WHy a 1911? I carried one in the Army for 10 years and I am more comfortable with it in my hands than any other.

Disclaimer: I live in a climate which affords me this luxury.

It is really not caliber we are concerned about here, for the most part. Most, not all, mentioned here are adequate.

I have made the comment over the years, here, that I have no particular disdain for scabbards, they just don't fit my thinking.
I don't like rollers and therefore I don't carry one very often. They are to bulky for my taste.
Everything I carry from My Sig's, a 220 and a 239, to my Government models and soon my Commander model, I carry sans scabbard, inside my waistband or in a pocket---which includes the 239, often.
It is more convenient for me and more concealed, easier, and quicker. Convenience allows me to do it.
If I am wearing a T shirt, I might wear two, one in and the other out, most often just a light weight shirt not tucked in.
Just my thinking and way of doing it.
Blessings

I carry a 380 Bersa.  After packing around several 45acps and getting weary of the weight, I went with the 380 which will do what is necessary in a pinch.  I have heard it all about bigger calibers etc., which may be true if you shoot an assailant only once

I carry a Glock 23, .40 cal. For traveling long distances I use a shoulder rig, just easier to get to strapped in a seat belt. I also use a fanny pack and a paddle type holster, I also have a SigTac coat with a holster made inside the liner, works real good.

T/C Contender in .44 Mag with a bobbed "percussion pirate" grip and a 5" bobbed, sightless barrel.
If I ever need more than one shot and a quick re-load I'll surrender.
