338-06 A Square Weatherby Ultra Light Pays Off

 ;)Hey guys my 338-06 worked great for me this fall.
I shot a nice doe at 8 am opening morning, then a great 12 point buck came out chaseing a doe. One 185 gr. Barnes Triple Shock at 2925 fps shure did the job.went about 40 yards.5 point on one side 7 on the other.21 1/2 inch spread.Its the largest racked  buck are gang ever got. It weighed 201 lbs dressed out.
My  15 year old daughter also shot a nice doe.

Congrats, nice Buck & rack. The body looks big as well, how much did he weigh?

My thought exactly!  Maybe it's just the camera angle, but that buck looks huge.  Congratulations!

Thanks for the congrats.The buck was weighed on an official scale for the big buck contest.It was 201 pounds after field dressing.we have got larger bodied deer before but not as big a rack.
Cant wait to get it back from the taxidermist.

big buck contest was won by a huge 269 pound 10 pointer.
