Stainless Convertible Rugers!!!
« on: December 29, 2007, 11:54:38 PM »
We all know Ruger makes Convertible Single Actions, but these are only available Blued (FULL RUST!), unless you only want a .22 LR/.22 Mag. as they come Stainless or FULL RUST!

BUT WHAT SOME MIGHT NOT KNOW, is you can send your Stainless gun to Ruger and they will make a Stainless Convertible Cylinder for you! Just give them a call at (603) 865-2442 to make arrangements after the New Year (They're on break right now). They'll tell you the price and you can just send your gun to them with payment and it will be returned d'rectly to you with a new Stainless Convertible Cylinder, fitted and numbered to your gun! :D

Wanna shoot 9mm's through your .357 Mag.? HOW VERSATILE! A gun that would fire .38 Spl., .357 Mag., and 9mm's! Well, just send it right off to have the Stainless Convertible Cylinder made especially for your gun.

Or get a .45 acp cylinder to use in your .45 Colt Blackhawk or Vaquero!

Here are some Stainless Convertibles I am VERY :D HAPPY with!!!

You don't need to use any moon clips with these guns. They shoot great with either cylinder. Help your gun BE ALL IT CAN BE! :D

Hello Redstick, Thanks for the information and you have some very nice looking revolvers there. I really like the grips.

Ruger did offer some convertible stainless steel centerfire single actions in the past. I have two Vaqueros that with one cylinder they will shoot 40 S&W ammunition and with the other cylinder they will fire 38-40's. They're both SS, one has a 4.625" barrel and the other has a 5.5" barrel. These guns were made for Davidsons.

Good Shooting!

Howdy Slufoot,
Yeah; there have been some special editions over the years, but NO Stainless Convertible has EVER been a standard catalogue offering from Ruger. This way, folks that missed out on the limited number of special edition Stainless Convertibles, can STILL GET ONE!
