Single Six to Bisley
« on: December 30, 2007, 05:41:39 AM »
Discussion on the Single Action forum has me thinking of making my Single Six convertible into a Bisley grip.  One of the posters said it is no big deal.  Anyone have experience with this?  How much has to be done, and where do the parts come from?

Thanks!

Keith

Ruger would be the first place to check. Brownells will also have what you need. Their TechLine is a wealth of info also!!

Yep, Brownells has a kit put together with all the parts you'll need.

You'll nee a Bisley hammer, trigger, grip frame & grips.

Power Custom & Brownell's has the parts, as posted above.

It would be cheaper to buy a Bisley, then sell your SS w/o the mag cylinder - using it in the new Bisley.

It's also cheaper to buy a Bisley, switch out the parts you need, then sell off the un-needed gun for almost what you paid for it.

I picked up a Pachmayr Presentation grip today, and I like the way it feels.  I am going to give it a try and see if this makes me happy.

Thanks for the help guys.
