good day rabbit hunting.......
« on: December 30, 2007, 11:17:41 AM »
went out today with a few friends and the dog. ran 7-8 and got 4. we were hunting a pile of downed logs and trees so thick you couldnt get in it, so we just spread out along it and climbed up on a log so we could see and just waited. we let many bumpers go, but still had a hell of a day!  ;)

Sounds like a blast!

I've really let my rabbit hunting go in the last few years. I swore this season I was gonna "MAKE" time for kicking some brush piles, but I still ain't done it yet. You can bet I'm going to though!  ;D

We went out Sun, feb. 3rd. Had a great time. I live on 15 acres it's full of bunnies. two Beagles three guys, we took 7 and could of had many more. Trying to teach a young pup to hunt. I'm thinking about using my .410 next time. I grabbed my 12 ga. and wasn't much sport for them there rabbits. LOL. The other guys have 20 ga. I bought some 3" no. 4 shot today for my .410, The ole single shot has a full choke on her and I think it should be easier to take a head shot with it. Will see. Get out if you can it's a blast..
