I am wondering if any of you have any experience with the shotgun i was thinking it would be a fun gun to have either in 20 or 12 probably 20 if it would shoot slugs decent  but 12 would be good home protection maybe both. any help would be appreciated. Also an opinion on the rifle would help to.

The russian izhmash saiga's have to be the hottest buy on the planet right now ever since the very first chinese norinco hit our shores.

I never owned an AK47 nor really wanted one till i seen the new russian saiga.  My first purchased was the 16" barreled saiga in 308.  We hammered it with south african 308 ball ammo and it was flawless the whole time.  Then we benchrested it at 100yds and were getting 1 1/2" groups.  After seeing the success with the saiga i went looking for another one.  The dealer was sold out of the 308's and had the 16" barreled saiga's in 223 rem sitting there.  I was never fond of the 223 round nor the high prices rifles that shoot it.  But for just $259 for a semi auto rifle that shoots the 223 round thats a great buy and its an AK 47 in a sporter wrapper too.  At the range it was a repeat in performane too the saiga in 223 was flawless.  The sites needed to be adjusted but it seemed accurate.  I own many saigas now and wouldn't hesitate to get more.                                                                  BB

Warning;  If you want a saiga you better get it now i heard its on the 1022 ban list along with the sks. My point is to BUY BOTH NOW!!!!

I think i would like one of the shotguns and both those rifle. I have heard that they are on the list so i may have to go looking for them real soon. Thanks for the help all i found them online for $250 up to $300  for the ones I want.

The Saiga shotgun has to be awesome too its the same ak47 design too just larger.  I wish i purchased a saiga shotgun when they were cheaper too.

BTW;  Were buying a brand new Russian Izhmash AK47 in a sporter version and it has the reliability and dependability of a russian ak47.  The russians did say they focused on making them more accurate than there ak brothers.  And they did too.  For some reason the american calibers of 223 and 308 are a tad more accurate that the russian calibers are.  The Russians at izhmash think its the design of the brass case with the american calibers.

Lets not forget the chrome lined bore and chamber too.  I believe the russians were the first to master the chrome lined bores and chambers.  We can shoot the steel cased ammo with no worry about ever wearing it out.  Now if you lube with moly all the moving parts inside the saiga the inners should last as long as the chromed lined barrel does.  Thats forever right?

If you never shot an ak47 you should try just one.....

Now alli need is a shop that carries these firearms in IL that is close to me so i can buy or trade for one maybe I will call and see what it would cost to get one ordered. I found them online for $250 and up would like a 223 for coyotes and a 20 or 12 ga for fun. If it is anything like the ak i shot along time ago it will handle pretty much anything.

I have to say the firepower and accuracy is unmatched for the low price.  I own other 308's and if i purchased the saiga first if it was available then i would only own the saiga's. What an awesome shooter the russian izhmash saiga  ak47 is.
